I am Austin Chase, a professional and pre-licensed psychotherapist who offers my clients compassion, understanding, and solution-focused therapy.

I attended University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) for undergrad where I obtained a degree in Psychology. After years working in the non-profit sector, I completed my MSW at Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts.

My experience is very strong with adolescents, especially those in high school as I have nearly 10 years of experience as a Youth Counselor.

In addition, I have concentrations in Substance Use Treatment, Attachment and Neurobiology, and Motivational Interviewing (MI), including two certificates in the modality.

I was directly involved with helping Camp Fire Survivors evacuate while I was interning at Feather River Hospital on November 8, 2018. I have a deep heart to help Camp Fire survivors, and I'm dedicated to helping them process through any residual stress or trauma that interferes with daily relationships, emotions, and goals.

My philosophy is to assist my clients in meeting their goals by developing a therapeutic alliance and working through any psychological or behavioral presence which impedes their goals.

I take both California Health & Wellness and Blue Cross Managed Medi-cal.

The majority of appointments are being conducted via telehealth; however, special arrangements can be made if you prefer in person sessions.

MISSION: To provide a tranquil and healing space in which people in our community can find calmness internally through the relaxing atmosphere along with respectful and engaging therapy conversations. To contribute to happier and more secure families by helping individuals, couples, and teens heal within and thereby creating different ways of engaging with themselves, the world, and those they love.

VISION: Creating a new kind of therapy experience in the Chico area in which therapists have smaller caseloads, giving them the flexibility to spend more time with clients as needed - longer sessions, phone calls, client centered advocacy. Creating a space in our community where clients can go between sessions just to sit, linger, and re-center themselves when they're having difficult days. A place to belong while they heal their hearts and relationships. A therapy office that embodies the unconditional love of Christ no matter what a person's gender identity, romantic disposition, or previous life hardships, experiences, or actions might have been. To be a safe place.
