Welcome! My name is Brooke, and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #121528 and I work under the clnical supervision of Jessica Wilkerson, LMFT 104464. I earned my Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Chico State University.

I am currently providing in person and Telehealth services to teens, adults, and couples. I am an Attachment based Therapist, and I primarily work with clients with relationship stress, trauma, childhood abuse, attachment wounds, and family of origin issues and conflict.

I am EMDRIA trained and I use Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing, (EMDR) Therapy with clients who have experienced trauma, and who are interested in re-processing past distressing memories. I incorporate mindfulness, psychoeducation, boundaries work and family systems theory into my work. The root of my practice is focused on helping my clients process trauma, heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves. It is my biggest hope that all of my clients are able to see their
value and worth.

I have extensive experience working with trauma, attachment wounds, depression, anxiety, grief, family dynamics, co-parenting, and counseling issues specific to the LGBTQIA community. I have previous experience as an Intensive In-Home Family Therapist, working with families and parents who have experienced generational trauma. And, I have worked in inpatient care settings and in substance abuse facilities.

MISSION: To provide a tranquil and healing space in which people in our community can find calmness internally through the relaxing atmosphere along with respectful and engaging therapy conversations.  To contribute to happier and more secure families by helping individuals, couples, and teens heal within and thereby creating different ways of engaging with themselves, the world, and those they love.

VISION: Creating a new kind of therapy experience in the Chico area in which therapists have smaller caseloads, giving them the flexibility to spend more time with clients as needed - longer sessions, phone calls, client centered advocacy.  Creating a space in our community where clients can go between sessions just to sit, linger, and re-center themselves when they're having difficult days.  A place to belong while they heal their hearts and relationships.  A therapy office that embodies the unconditional love of Christ no matter what a person's gender identity, romantic disposition, or previous life hardships, experiences, or actions might have been.  To be a safe place.
