There are times in life when we need assistance with moving through a tough time or finding change. Perhaps you want to feel differently than you do right now or find a different way of being. There is more to your story. Today, you are a step closer. Would you like to rediscover why you fell in love? Realize wants versus needs in your relationship? I can assist you with identifying and exploring the obstacles that have been blocking you from experiencing closeness you desire.
Addictions can come in many forms: gambling, sex, exercise, alcohol, drugs, and so much more. Recovering from addiction is not about fixing brokenness, but about discovery of self, gaining functional tools, and changing from the inside out.
Moving forward during or after being in active duty military or as a first responder is its own unique challenge that I'm experienced and trained in helping people grow through and heal from.  Whether you are the military personnel or you're the spouse of the first responder, I can help you navigate the complexities that most civilians don't experience individually or within a relationship.
All my sessions are online using a safe, easy, and confidential platform called Simple Practice.  You can be home in your safe space, in your car, or any other place you feel comfortable talking about what is happening in your heart and in your life.  You have my full attention and expertise while I am in my professional office.
My qualifications:
I have a master's degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy and am licensed to practice in both California and Utah. I am also a California certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor II and a DOT-approved Substance Abuse Provider. I am a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), California Consortium of Addictions Programs and Professionals (CCAPP), the national Association for Addiction Professionals (NAADAC), and the Gottman Therapy Network. I have a certification in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and have completed Gottman Level I, Level II, and Level III training for couple's work. I provide in-person and telehealth sessions. I have skills to help you move through differing values, conflicts, healing from affairs, and improving your overall relationship. I work with couples of all faiths and cultures.

MISSION: To provide a tranquil and healing space in which people in our community can find calmness internally through the relaxing atmosphere along with respectful and engaging therapy conversations.  To contribute to happier and more secure families by helping individuals, couples, and teens heal within and thereby creating different ways of engaging with themselves, the world, and those they love.

VISION: Creating a new kind of therapy experience in the Chico and Redding areas in which therapists have smaller caseloads, giving them the flexibility to spend more time with clients as needed - longer sessions, phone calls, client centered advocacy.  Creating a space in our community where clients can go between sessions just to sit, linger, and re-center themselves when they're having difficult days.  A place to belong while they heal their hearts and relationships.  A therapy office that embodies the unconditional love of Christ no matter what a person's gender identity, romantic disposition, or previous life hardships, experiences, or actions might have been.  To be a safe place.
