Jennifer is out-of-network for PPO insurance, but will bill your insurance on your behalf so you still just pay your deductible and co-insurance.
Jennifer’s approach to therapy can be described as relational, strengths-based and integrative. She works with teens and adults using a variety of therapeutic modalities depending on the individual needs of each client. Jennifer sees clients in-person or via telehealth.

Jennifer believes that each person is unique and has the capacity to bring about positive change in their life. She is passionate about helping her clients recognize the strengths and abilities already within them while also developing new skills and strategies to enhance and live their best life.

After obtaining her Masters of Social Work Degree from California State University, Chico in 2008, Jennifer worked for over 10 years with a non-profit agency providing mental health services to teens, young adults and families. During that time Jennifer served on numerous local and state-wide committees serving as an advocate for underprivileged youth. Jennifer has returned to Chico State several times to teach both undergraduate and graduate social work students.

In 2020, Jennifer obtained additional training and certification in nutritional therapy in order to enhance her understanding of the mind-body connection and better serve clients who are interested in a functional approach to their mental health. Jennifer will be completing EMDRIA approved EMDR training over the summer of 2022.

Inspired Life Counseling is owned and directed by Jessica Wilkerson, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #104464.
Office Hours: By Appointment                                            Contact us!
MISSION: To provide a tranquil and healing space in which people in our community can find calmness internally through the relaxing atmosphere along with respectful and engaging therapy conversations.  To contribute to happier and more secure families by helping individuals, couples, and teens heal within and thereby creating different ways of engaging with themselves, the world, and those they love.

VISION: Creating a new kind of therapy experience in the Chico area in which therapists have smaller caseloads, giving them the flexibility to spend more time with clients as needed - longer sessions, phone calls, client centered advocacy.  Creating a space in our community where clients can go between sessions just to sit, linger, and re-center themselves when they're having difficult days.  A place to belong while they heal their hearts and relationships.  A therapy office that embodies the unconditional love of Christ no matter what a person's gender identity, romantic disposition, or previous life hardships, experiences, or actions might have been.  To be a safe place.
