Marcia Koehn, MSW, ASW - Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker #84455
Marcia works under the clinical supervision of Jessica Wilkerson, LMFT 104464
Marcia has been in the field of medical social work for much of her career, and she is excited to bring that knowledge and experience into private practice. Marcia understands what it is like to be in a system that is designed to help a person's body, but which can be scary and frustrating. She is also experienced with sitting with women in need of listening who have experienced relationship turmoil. She is dedicated to helping people feel safe and empowered in their lives, and works hard to truly and genuinely understand her clients and their needs so she can give the best guidance possible.
She views therapy as a collaborative effort to help each person reach their goals and overcome the challenges they are experiencing. She believes the transitions we experience in our lives give us the opportunity to develop new skills and highlighting the ones we already have. Marcia is trained through PSI for working with mothers and fathers during the perinatal period of life (that's from trying to conceive all the way through the year after baby is born). Post-partum depression and anxiety looks a little different than general depression or anxiety, and Marcia is equipped to help people get through when they are hurting or struggling.
