Sara only provides sessions on Sundays. She is in-person in Chico or online for anyone located anywhere in California.

Sara Setzfant is a licensed clinical social worker and a gifted therapist. She brings her full some of professional and life experience into the therapy room. Her sense of compassion, empathy, insight, education, and value for empowerment through educating her clients creates a safe space for individuals to share their stories and begin their journey toward healing.
Sara is trained in the EMDRIA approved standard protocol EMDR. Her gentle approach to EMDR allows her clients to process past traumatic experiences while reducing any potential re-traumatization (which is what most people are afraid of when they hear about EMDR). Sara takes a collaborative approach to therapy, believing the client is an expert regarding their own story and experience.
She does a great job work with adult, pre-teen, and teen clients who are struggling with impactful life events, having difficulty navigating ongoing life stressors, and who would benefit from having a safe place to find their voice and tell their story. Sara also has experience and works well with neurodivergent client tweens and adolescents.
